DALLAS PSYCHOANALYTIC CENTER INVITES YOU TO …

“Lunch and Learn”

Zoom meeting on

Saturday, January 22 from 12-1:30

Learn about our exciting new programs that begin September, 2022.

WHO:

Any clinician interested in expanding their knowledge and their clinical skills in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and  psychoanalysis. You’re invited to attend whether you live in Dallas or beyond! We welcome clinicians from diverse backgrounds. Limited scholarship options will be available.

WHAT:

DPC offers two NEW training programs which combine our former 4P program and analytic training. The psychoanalytic studies program offers students a certificate of completion for the 2-year program in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. The training program in psychoanalysis offers candidates a completion certificate of the 5-year program in psychoanalysis. Since both students and candidates learn together during the first two years, those who wish to become psychoanalysts have the option of applying for candidacy before the first year or during the second year of the psychoanalytic studies program. In this new program, the first two years count towards training in psychoanalysis.

Our updated curriculum reflects contemporary perspectives in psychoanalysis, such as classes on diversity and gender/sexuality within the first two years, which had been taught in the later years. We maintain our commitment to teaching the pillars of psychoanalysis, ethical standards, and clinical perspectives to enable our students to treat their diverse group of patients psychoanalytically.

WHERE:

Our new programs will be virtually. This expands options for clinicians who live outside of Dallas.

WHY:

Psychoanalytic theory can be utilized with all types of clients. This can expand your referrals and clinical skills. Classes are an excellent source of information, practice, and networking.
