- Have an understanding of the current developmental research used as a basis for modern psychoanalytic theory.
- Have a deeper understanding of the developmental processes in the psychoanalytic treatment of their child and adolescent patients.
- Have a working definition and understanding of nonlinear dynamic systems theory that can be applied to analytic work with children and adolescents.
